“Flugobjekt” is a generative light sculpture which explores accele­ration phenomena and aliasing effects and aims to describe our media-loaded present.

Between Paul Virilio‘s dromology – the acceleration of society through media and the resulting overstimulation – and the philosophical move­ment of accelerationism – the escape from a capitalist system through acceleration and destabilization – “Flugobjekt” provokes to open a dialo­gue.

Data seems to float from a source of information. Ascended, the generated water droplets float chaotically in order. Deeply fragile yet with technical force, a simulation arises. The association with rain in conflict of the reorganized forces triggers a deep emotional reaction – Questioning the nature of our reality is the conclusion. The sound of the restless, calculating solenoids merges with gently rippling water leaving a trace of the postnatural.
