What are sciences? What are myths? And how do both contribute in forming our understanding of the world? The work compromises text and objects which reflect upon the history of explaining the Milky Way. The Milky Way is one of the oldest objects observed by human kind. Its respective description is tied to the describer’s assumed position in his world.

ctu – isbtm is a variable installation consisting of three generated objects, a collection of smaller generated objects and a paper which analyses the objects and informs about their history. The object’s shapes were generated by pouring hot wax into water and transforming the resulting positive wax objects into glass. The paper is written anew for each exhibition and all papers will be published in a book after one year.
